"Forever Young"

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

(Thanks to Renante Beron): Last September 20, 2011 a shooting incident involving two male teens, a 13 year old boy and a 17 year old teenager occurred in SM City Pampanga

The incident happened between 11:45 and 11:50 a.m. Tuesday as the two walked out of the Congo Grill in Building 3 of SM shopping mall.

The news stunned the nation and sent a shiver among users of social networking sites, particularly teenagers. It even created buzz among blogs and news sites. Google reported that the search phrase ‘SM Pampanga Shooting’ was the most searched topic on their search engine on the day of the shooting and the morning after that.

Now, the remains of the two teens involved in the shooting have been buried. They were pronounced dead on separate hospitals after their families decided to remove the life support system that keeps them breathing. The families also decided to donate their kidneys and corneas.

Pretty soon, their contemporaries will forget about them. But what keeps me from getting over the sad tragedy is the realization that behind the horrible crime committed by a minor, a modern epic of a gay love story was born.

An Ill-Fated Love Story

Like what has been printed in many newspapers, the two teens apparently were lovers who met each other on Facebook purportedly in late May of this year. According to various news sources and e-mails circulating on the internet, their relationship lasted for almost four months from the fourth of June to the 17th of September where they allegedly broke up. It is not clear until now but it appears that the reason for the break up was a third party, who is another young male teen.

The said "3rd Party"
Based from his statuses on Facebook, the 13 year old teen has found out that while he was not online, his 17 year old boyfriend was flirting with another male teen and this ignited jealousy and anger on the part of the 13 year old. The 13 year old boy then apparently planned the shooting by posting hate messages on Facebook and creating a tee-shirt full of vandalism suggesting his love, hatred and depression about their ill-fated relationship.

And on the 20th of September, around 11am, the terrible shooting happened.
